Smart House Building transformed our lobby and stairwell from shabby to stunning in 9 weeks. We had far too little time left before Christmas but they worked Saturdays and late to get it done. Everyone was amazed, relieved, and grateful.

Smart House Building was the successful tenderer to refurbish our strata building at McMahons Point. The building was designed by the architect, Stan Symonds and was completed in 1974. The building is classified by North Sydney Council as a building of architectural significance and has had little maintenance over the past 15 years. The harbour-front site is steep and difficult to work on, as is the design of the four individual units on the block.

Mick Marjanovic, the principal of Smart House Building ensured that the work was carried out within the time frame of the contract, despite at times poor weather conditions. Mick also ensured that the work was carried out to an exacting standard and made improvements where necessary to improve the integrity of the building.

Mick also displayed an attention to detail and an accommodating approach to the demands of owners that was impressive. The end result is that we now have a building in far better condition than when originally built.
